The truth hurts only those who are guilty of a crime!!! The more things have changed, seems like the more they remain the same; staffing agencies are in abundance despite the impact of covid. Jobs are still being posted whether really or imaginary and people are still looking, searching, hoping to fid something of value in those every changing, unpredictable world. Staffing agencies have an obligation to not only provide the BEST services to their clients but also to their candidates and to an extent, the communities in which they operate. These communities offer space, parking, accessibility to transport and other amenities that might cost a lot more in a different zone, area, community.
Governments and business leaders and even other community partners are partnering with dome of theses agencies but where is the benefits to the communities and the people whom reside in them? Are there any back to school programs, after -school programs, minor league camps/activates, training sessions, counselling or conflict resolution being established or offered by these agencies and their partners? I have yet o see 1 in all my years in this city and province and no one else seems to take notice…many will show ther faces in front of Black Lives Matter marches but when push comes to shove and tangible results are required, these people, pretentious hero’s are no where to be found…
As business owners, it is understandable that your primary care and concern are those of your clients and their clients and this is respected.. Maybe, just maybe, by taking in to account, the contribution or care or lack thereof, that is given, shared with communities, then only then will e start to see some accountability as to the agencies being selected for business development…
